In Nehemiah 12:25 the Authorized Version has "thresholds," marg. "treasuries" or "assemblies;" Revised Version, "storehouses." Int. Standard Bible Encyclopedia ASUPPIM; HOUSE OF ASUPPIM a-sup'-im, (beth ha-'acuppim): King James Version, margin "gatherings"; the Revised Version (British and American) "the storehouses." In Nehemiah 12:25, the King James Version renders the same word thresholds(King James Version, margin "treasuries, assemblies"). A storehouse most probably at the southern gate of the temple (1 Chronicles 26:15, 17 Nehemiah 12:25).
